this morning's walk: Carrock Fell

Great Mell Fell and a stormy sky from the start of the climb

fortunately grassy paths now avoid this scree slope

the path passes just above this tree

two pines passed by the steep ascent path

the path is very eroded in places - the road can be seen far below

sheepfold on a flatter part of the fell with the Mell Fells in the distance
