today's misty walk: Hugill Fell and Reston Scar

entering Staveley from the west

my return bus stop is opposite complete with toilet ..

.. twinned with this one in Cambodia - what a brilliant idea!

looking down the River Kent from Barley Bridge

looking upstream from Barley Bridge

looking down as I climb into the mist

"Wainwright's" summit - now without a large cairn - and today without the view into Kentmere

the possibly higher northwest top - also now cairnless

the highest (west) top which was not accessible in Wainwright's day but now with a path and gates through the walls

the cairn on Reston Scar

Kemp Tarn

dropping below the mist with Staveley below

the damp and narrow path back to Barley Bridge

the riverside path back to Staveley

reflections in the River Kent

Hawkshead Brewery

fish ladder beside the weir

bridge into Staveley

looking back up the river to the weir ..

.. and again with the brewery on the left

the old church tower

the bus stop and village hall with Reston Scar still in mist beyond
