today's walk: Stanah - Stybarrow Dodd - Watson's Dodd - Great Dodd - Threlkeld

the start of the path to Sticks Pass

the aqueduct feeding into Thirlmere

falls in Stanah Gill from the bridge over the gill

looking down on Thirlmere from the steep path with another bit of the aqueduct to the left

looking over the Stanah Gill valley to High Rigg from higher up the path

looking northeast to Bassenthwaite Lake from a sheepfold where the ridge gets less steep

looking back from higher up the ridge with a cloud cap on Skiddaw

a glimpse of Thirlmere from the path with the Gables and Pillar in the distance

the new made track up Stybarrow Dodd from Sticks Pass

looking back over Sticks Pass to Raise with mist swirling over the top

misty on top of Stybarrow Dodd

looking back to the now clear top of Stybarrow Dodd from Watson's Dodd

looking southwest over Thirlmere from Watson's Dodd

zooming in on Raven Crag, Great How and Thirlmere dam

zooming over Keswick to Bass Lake

looking east from the shelter on Great Dodd

Great Dodd summit cairn looking northwest

descending the east ridge of Great Dodd as the hazy conditions clear quite dramatically

bog below as I descend to the Old Coach Road - hence a quick decision not to try a direct return to the A66

looking down on the old coach road with Lonscale Fell. Skiddaw and Blencathra beyond

looking east to the Mell Fells from the old coach road

descending towards Threlkeld with Blencathra behind

zooming in on the Coledale fells from the lane to Threlkeld
