this morning's walk: Derwentwater foot and the Howrahs path to Keswick

it rained hard all night leading to a dramatic change in the outlook this morning

no ice or snow on Portinscale back road ..

.. and most of the snow washed off Clough Head and Great Dodd

the Derwentwater Hotel and Skiddaw

a lot of water in Derwentwater and rather windy

zooming in on Bleaberry Fell and High Seat

a pair of swans with 5 well grown cygnets swimming up towards the lake

looking across the swollen River Derwent from near Portinscale bridge

Skiddaw and a field full of geese from the other side of the bridge

the path to Keswick with Clough Head and Great Dodd ahead

a bit of sun on the Skiddaw massif

zooming back to Grisedale Pike and Portinscale bridge

Catbells, Hindscarth and Robinson seen across flooded fields from the path

zooming in on Hindscarth and Robinson

zooming in on Catbells and Hindscarth

Grisedale Pike and more geese on the way home
