the Bridge Hotel in Buttermere village

Herdwick ewe with two black lambs

the bluebells are going to be very late this year - this was about the best I could find

Mellbreak from the path out of Rannerdale

looking back to Whiteless Pike

a guided walk led by two Lake District National Park volunteers I knew, looking for the elusive bluebells

Mellbreak with a goose on an island and a couple of canoes

primroses on the lake shore

another shot of Mellbreak ..

zooming in on Haystacks from the return path to Buttermere village

one last shot down Crummock Water to Mellbreak

Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks from the track to Buttermere village

with time to spare before the bus home I wandered down to Buttermere shore for this classic shot up the lake
