today's walk: Penny Rock along Grasmere shore to Grasmere village

looking over a very misty Grasmere from where I got out of the car

a spot of colour on this gloomy morning

the path to Penny Rock

approaching the foot of Grasmere

looking to Grasmere foot

the weir out of Grasmere

the weir from the other side looking up Grasmere

could be Helm Crag very vaguely up the lake

on the west bank another shot towards that fire

reflections on the west bank

looking back towards Loughrigg Fell

ahead north from the shoreline

the Grasmere island

looking down on Grasmere from the road once one is forced to join it

water pouring through a roadside wall

St Oswald's Church from Grasmere Garden Village

a few daffodils blooming in the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden

Catbells from the Keswick to Portinscale path

flooded fields from the path looking to Walla Crag - obviously there is a lot of good duck food in the flood!
