today's wet walk (Keswick rambling club): Binsey

setting out in full waterproof gear

looking down from the road onto Bassenthwaite Lake

approaching Binsey

this is probably the muddiest walk I have ever done with Keswick rambling club

some sheep are following us up the hill - cloud covered Skiddaw in the distance

emerging through a muddy gateway

climbing towards Binsey with Bass Lake below

on the rough upper slopes of Binsey still with Bass Lake below

approaching the top of Binsey

looking over the old summit structures to the trig point

measuring the wind speed (36mph) at the summit

descending from Binsey summit

very boggy on the descent from Binsey

descending towards Overwater

further down with Overwater still ahead

pond near Overwater Hall

lunch by the pond

strange erection in one of the fields

more very wet going in the same field

mud, mud, glorious mud

Little Tarn

zooming in on spaty Dash Falls

problems in Park Wood

track in Park Wood

nearly back in Bassenthwaite village

Skiddaw and Ullock Pike
