today's walk: Lonscale Fell and Latrigg

the Hawell monument

looking over Whit Beck to Lonscale Fell

the remains of the old Halfway House refreshment hut (halfway from Keswick to Skiddaw)

looking down the tourist path just before I leave it

this is the little path to Lonscale Fell

further up the path

ice as I approach the top ..

.. and more beside the summit cairn, looking to Skiddaw

heading for the east top with Blencathra behind

the descent path - you can faintly see Thirlmere and more clearly Tewit Tarn

now on the bridleway heading towards Latrigg

looking over Whit Beck

the ford through Whit Beck

looking east after crossing the beck

with the weather set fair I head straight up Latrigg, here looking back at Lonscale Fell

the three trees on the ridge of Latrigg

Keswick and Derwentwater

Skiddaw, Millbeck and Applethwaite with Bassenthwaite Lake to the left

Skiddaw, Millbeck and Applethwaite from further down ..

.. and again zoomed in

Lonscale Fell from the limited mobility path back to the carpark
